What You’ll Do

In this role, you will work with Flatiron’s Practice Financial Health/Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams, along with our key customers to optimize the practice’s operational and financial performance. Reporting to the VP, Practice Financial Health, you’ll engage with Flatiron customers and internal stakeholders to enhance the revenue cycle function, financial health technology, and service offerings.
Responsible for building and scaling efficient processes within the Flatiron RCM team (including offshore), focusing on hitting financial and operational KPIs for clients on our RCM platform, especially those associated with back end processes (i.e. Days in A/R, A/R 120+, Denial Rate.)
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize the back-end workflow processes including, but not limited to, claim scrubbing, insurance billing, collections, and denial management
Lead and closely collaborate with Business Analytics and BPO partners to ensure all data capture and reporting is accurate for our customer base, internal stakeholders, and is optimized for RCM monitoring
Identify best practices that can be leveraged across our RCM clients and help client facing teams drive adoption
Provide strategic and operational support to our client facing teams who manage the relationships with our RCM clients – especially as it relates to financial performance issues – by digging into the root cause of the issues, determining strategies to resolve and to monitor for the future
Deliver practice financial health reporting and modeling to our clients in collaboration with engagement managers and account management to ensure customer success
Optimize our RCM operations team (both internal to Flatiron and 3rd party partners) by ensuring accountability, clear definition of roles and responsibilities
Provide workflow recommendations, implementation, and project management for all process improvement initiatives

This position will work closely with many cross functional teams including product, business operations, and account management to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize reporting and revenue cycle processes for optimal financial performance. In addition, this role will have high executive exposure and may require physician and clinical engagement with the ability to be highly influential and drive expert change management.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced revenue cycle leader with at least 8 years experience in revenue cycle management or operations, excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems every day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.
You have a Bachelor’s degree
You have at least 5 years experience in medical oncology revenue cycle management
Extensive experience building and managing a team of people to deliver tech-enabled services at scale
Experienced people manager; extremely thoughtful about management style, culture and general leadership
Interest and ability to become a leading community oncology revenue cycle expert
Experience operationalizing a successful tech-enabled services program (preferably in RCM, but RCM experience is not required), and extremely strong understanding of one’s own weaknesses and how to fill those gaps
Excellent ability to understand operational requirements to anticipate and fill in operational gaps early
Strong understanding of market strategy; ability to see how Flatiron’s products fit into the competitive landscape; ability to break down complex markets into components and develop strategy
