The Director, Web Marketing Operations is responsible for managing all web initiatives across the organization and oversees the corporate website. This role ensures that all EVERFI web properties are high-performing demand generation engines that support our brand while driving customer acquisition, retention, and growth. The role works closely with all marketing teams and cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Account Management, and Business Operations. This individual will be called upon to provide strategic direction as it relates to technical development and microsite creation. A successful Web Marketing Operations Director is an excellent communicator, insightful, empathetic, and perceptive with a clear understanding of the B2B buying cycle and their interactions with digital platforms. They love critical thinking and problem solving and are curious about the “why” behind the numbers. They understand web design, UX, analytics, A/B testing, and the user journey and are passionate about finding ways to optimize the experience.
Monitor traffic, conversions, page performance metrics, and user journeys to improve performance while creating a cadence for sharing actionable insights
Develop a website optimization strategy and roadmap, leading everything from hypothesis to execution, analysis, and reporting
Learn the ins and outs of our content management platform and understand the art of the possible.
Stay on top of competitive website trends within our market and in parallel markets and use that knowledge to guide features, functionality, and design paths
Collaborate with teams responsible for SEM, email, social media, and other inbound channels to optimize each conversion path
Lead design and UX efforts with external agencies while partnering with brand and development partners to ensure that designs meet standards and can be brought to market in a scalable way
Run and own all corporate sites A/B testing initiatives, including analytics and reporting on successes
Create requirements for any changes to the website and related platforms considering the downstream impacts to all integrated tech platforms, I.e., marketing automation, CRM, chat, web analytics, tag management, etc.
Work with the web development and design teams to implement successful designs in the CMS and landing page platforms.
Be the subject matter expert for conversion-oriented content creators and help guide the ideation and creation of successful web pages that deliver on desired KPIs
Actively participate in internal global leadership meetings to discuss direction, strategy, and priority of web initiatives
Ensure that the web design conveys EVERFI’s brand and offers users a clear vision of the company/storytelling
Oversee all web projects and be accountable for any issues arising from within the team
Identify, evaluate, and implement new technology that is beneficial to lead gen efforts
Own and implement global standards and procedures for Customer and Account teams when working on customer website projects
Collaborate with other departments within the organization as needed for web development including sales, communications, talent, etc
Ensure the security and integrity of the website to minimize outside risk
Directly manage a Senior Web Developer
Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications
8+ years of relevant web development and operations experience, preferably in the SaaS/technology industry
B2B conversion rate optimization, web analytics, and A/B testing using platforms like Optimizely, VWO, and Adobe Analytics
Good knowledge of B2B digital marketing channels and how they differ with conversion and lead lifecycle
Experience managing UX, design, and development and CMS projects with inside teams and external vendors
Strong understanding of web content management platforms, landing page platforms, and integrated web technology like tag managers, conversational marketing platforms, web forms, etc.
Experience with Figma and Adobe Design Suite preferred
Adept with gathering, analyzing, and reporting using web analytics tools
Solid understanding of content marketing, demand generation and customer journey mapping
Ability to collaborate and work directly with internal stakeholders across multiple departments and job functions
Proven ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and strong attention to detail
Experience working with design teams
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
