Job Purpose:

As the Vice President of Sales Operations, you will be responsible for providing the tools and infrastructure to drive and deliver exceptional sales results. As a seasoned executive, you will act as an advisor while counseling and directing the sales organization toward strategic goals and operational effectiveness by meeting corporate sales, revenue, operational and strategic goals as well as the professional growth, development, and success of team members.

Essential Functions:
Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization.
Ensures planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed within the firm.
Partner with senior executives including the sales leadership team to define revenue strategy and critical strategic and operational initiatives designed to improve and maximize revenue acquisition, retention and growth.
Own commission plan development and maintenance globally
Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of company-wide sales operations initiatives to company goals and objectives.
Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics as well as identify and deliver techniques to improve funnel performance for sales management
Responsible for the development and maintenance of all Sales reporting, dashboards, metrics and analysis.
Leverage data and insights to improve prioritization and analysis of organizational initiatives, including the measurement of realized vs forecasted impact of key revenue initiatives.
Partner with Sales to maximize the creation of qualified sales opportunities and ensure prospective customers have a positive first impression of Limelight.
Provide thought leadership and assist in the creation and maintenance of Sales procedures, training manuals and resource materials.
Recognize, develop and implement process improvements within the Sales organization as well as hand-off processes between departments.
Manage and maintain sales process adherence and accountability with Sales team members.
Maintain a holistic view of our operations and associated technology, e.g. Salesforce, Sales Enablement, etc. Lead business process requirements and system design enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Work closely with Talent & Development with the onboarding and training process of new Sales team members

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:
Four year college degree from an accredited institution
10+ years relevant Sales Operations, Finance, or Accounting experience.
5+ years experience in managing and mentoring teams.
Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.
A proven track record in high-growth sales organizations as part of Sales Operations team (SaaS experience highly desirable).
Prior equivalent experience running Sales Operations for a business with greater than $200M in annual revenue.
Strong Salesforce.com knowledge and implementation skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience integrating SaaS tools to streamline and automate the sales process, integrating data science and analytics into every function within Sales to ensure greater predictability and productivity.
Experience building models for Annual Operating Planning: Bookings, Capacity, Quota, Compensation, Pipeline, Forecast, etc.
Experience building and leading Sales Enablement programs.
Expertise in contract management.
A proven ability to develop tactical initiatives that improve sales productivity and performance..
Background of introducing performance metrics and improvement programs.
Strong communication skills and ability to establish credibility and trust with all cross functional departments, building influential relationships with all internal partners: Finance, Legal, Marketing, HR, Alliances, Support, Product Marketing, Professional Services, etc.
Understanding of both business and people, including their drivers and success factors.
Excellent knowledge of software pricing and licensing practices.
Understanding of sales methodologies and bookings process.
Highly entrepreneurial and able to operate independently with minimum supervision.
Heavily results-oriented; a strong track record in meeting and/or exceeding goals.
Able to research, develop and execute sales tools and strategies in the field.
Solid understanding of CRM systems, quote to cash management infrastructures and analytics around sales pipeline modeling.
Deep knowledge/understanding of salesforce.com.
